The Erie County Division of Sewerage Management (DSM) in the Department of Environment & Planning is seeking a Sanitary Engineer that will assist in the planning, supervision and coordination of engineering work required in the construction and operation of a regional sewer system. Applicants should have thorough knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of sanitary engineering, construction engineering and a working knowledge of engineering economics.
QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered four (4) year college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Sanitary or Environmental Engineering or a closely related engineering specialty, and five (5) years of experience in civil, mechanical or sanitary engineering.
NOTE: Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Master's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Sanitary or Environmental Engineering or closely related engineering specialty may be substituted for two (2) years of required experience.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: license to practice as a Professional Engineer State of New York
